Presidents Corner

By admin

As the incoming president I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bruce Danuser for all the time and effort he put in for the FMCC. The club is truly in a better position now because of his efforts. I only hope that during my time as president we can all look back and say the same.

Photography has come through an incredible revolution in the past few years. Digital sensors, not film, are now the norm. The computer has now replaced the darkroom. This upheaval has not occurred without a significant amount of controversy. At this point in time, I am confident that most of this is behind us.

The pursuit of photographic excellence has always been a goal of the FMCC. Never in the history of photography have we been able to inject so much of ourselves into our photos as we can now. We should continue to pursue the excellence of the past. Establishing a good foundation in this new technology is one of the goals the club should pursue. The second goal is even more important. We should be sure to — KEEP PHOTOGRAPHY FUN.

Looking Forward
Bruce Bernstein
President FMCC
