Photograph Print Rules

There are two print salon divisions:
- Black and White Prints
- Color Prints “B” or Color Prints “A”.
All prints must be entirely the work of the entrant. They may be any size up to 16×20 inches and must be mounted. The mount size may not exceed 16×20 inches.
1. Black and White Prints:
The subject is opened in the Black and White print category. There is no class or assigned subject in this category. All prints are judged equally. The prints may be any size up to 16×20 inches and must be mounted. The mount size must not exceed 16×20 inches. The entry points and winner points are listed below. The winners are eligible for the Print of the Year award competition held in May of each Camera Club year. The points are totaled for the year and the top three winners will receive awards of the Black and White division competition for the year.
Maximum entries two (2) per entrant.
2. Color Prints “B”:
This division is intended for beginners and the less experienced photographer. Prints in this division may be commercially processed. Entries may be any size up to 16×20 inches and must be mounted. Mount size may not exceed 16×20 inches. The winner for the year in this division will automatically advance to the “A” Division the following year. The winners are eligible for the Print of the Year award competition held in May of each Camera Club year. The points are totaled for the year and the top three winners will receive awards for the Color Prints “B” division competition for the year. The entry points and winner points are listed below.

3. Color Prints “A”:
This division is intended for the more experienced photographer. Entry rules are the same as for the “B” division. Persons entering the color print salon are asked to notify the print salon chairperson as to which division they wish to be assigned.

This division is an open category and the prints may be of any subject. The prints maybe Black and White or Color. The size shall follow the Color Prints “B” rules and must be mounted. The entry points and winner points are listed below.
All prints must be titled and bear the entrant’s name on the back side in the upper left-hand corner. Prints must be picked up after the salon competition.
Award Points for Print entries:
Entries will be awarded one (1) point for entering the salon, plus one point for each print entered up to a maximum of 8 plus an additional (1) point for each assigned entry for a maximum total of 10 points. A maximum of two prints may be entered in the Color Division, either “A” or “B” and the assigned division. A maximum of two prints may be entered in the Black and White division and a maximum of two prints maybe entered in the Digital Modified Divisions.
Entrants are only allowed to enter two (2) prints in each of the categories. The maximum number of entries that an entrant could possibly make is ten (10). No substitutions are allowed – in other words if an entrant chooses not to enter two prints in the digital modified category, additional prints may not be entered in another category. Maximum entry points can be earned by entering images in the assigned categories.
The winner points are the same as in the Digital and Slide division.
Points will be totaled for the year and the top three winners will receive awards at the end of the Camera Club year at the annual banquet. All print winners throughout the year are eligible for the Print of the Year competition.
